Clans

Clans allow players to group up, claim territory, manage a shared bank and progress together. With alliances, wars and sub-clans, clans are the social core of AzuraSMP.

Creating and joining a clan

A clan is created with /clan create <name> <tag>. The player who creates the clan automatically becomes its leader (OWNER).

To invite others: /clan invite <username>. The invited player accepts with /clan join <clan name>.

Member limit: a clan can hold up to 20 players maximum.

All commands can be shortened with /c instead of /clan. Example: /c info, /c bank.

Permissions are customisable with /clan perms <perm> <rank>. Available: clan.ally, clan.enemy, clan.war, clan.sub.

Clan tag

Once in a clan, the tag is automatically displayed above each member's head in game, making it easy to identify which clan a player belongs to.

Clan chat

/clan chat sends a message visible only to clan members, without disrupting the general chat.

Clan bank

Every clan has a shared bank funded by its members. It is used for war declarations (5,000 Azurins) and collective projects.

Territory (claim)

A clan can claim chunks to protect them from outside players. A title appears when entering territory with a colour code:

Clan home

A clan can set a shared teleportation point. Using /clan sethome also places the Nexus (see Nexus section).

Sub-clans

A clan can create up to 3 sub-clans. Sub-clan members can build in parent territory and vice-versa. Sub-clans share the green colour on the map and access the family chat.

A sub-clan cannot itself create a sub-clan.

Family chat: type !! message directly in chat. Format: [Family][TAG] Rank Player: message.

Alliances

Maximum 3 active alliances per clan. Alliances are mutual: both clans must propose to confirm. PvP between allies is automatically cancelled. Allied territory shows in cyan.

Cannot ally if either clan is in an active war.

Enemies

Enemy declarations are unilateral - no agreement needed. Enemy territory shows in red. Cannot declare an ally as enemy (break the alliance first).

Wars

Requirements: 5+ members each, 1+ claim each, neither at war, clan 7+ days old, 72h cooldown between these clans, not allied or same family, 5,000 Azurins in the declaring clan's bank (auto-deducted).

Nexus

When using /clan sethome, a Crying Obsidian block is automatically placed at your feet: the Nexus. It displays a floating holographic title with the clan name and a colour-coded health bar (green - yellow - red).

  • 500 HP by default, regenerates 2 HP/s if not attacked for 10 seconds
  • 1 damage per left-click, 500ms cooldown per player
  • Indestructible through normal mining
  • Only attackable during an ACTIVE war, by enemy clan members
  • BossBar shown to players within 50 blocks during an attack
  • If home is moved, the old Nexus disappears and a new one is placed
